The latest tweet about the return of BGMI has come from Global Esports CEO Rushindra Sinha. He tweeted that he came across the “biggest news about BGMI’s return.” The information is something he apparently did not expect. Naturally, he added that he cannot share further information due to “confidentiality.”
BGMI return rumours
Games analyst Rishi Alwani also commented on the return of BGMI in relation to the recent comments by Global Esports CEO. He said that an announcement was originally supposed to arrive last month, and he’s not sure about why it wasn’t announced.
Just heard the biggest news about BGMI’s return and OMG! okay this I did not expect… Can’t share anymore due to confidentiality but just hold on to your seat – this is something even I did not expect ????

Alwani also revealed that Krafton has received a three-month temporary approval from the Indian government. He also claimed that Krafton has been told to put more safeguards in place, as per directions from the government. Those safeguards may also include age gating and measures to stop gaming for extended periods.
as for a concrete date — was to happen a month ago, idk what the hold up is

The rumour mill
Battlegrounds Mobile India remains banned in India since last year. There have been plenty of rumours lately, most of which stem from the comments made by various esports players and content creators. While the rumour mill was certainly churning at full speed, there was nothing concrete coming out of it, such as a release date for a teaser, let alone the official BGMI unban announcement.
It remains to be seen if the comments by the Global Esports CEO will have any substance in them after all that we’ve seen in the last couple of months. The following tweet by AFK Gaming co-founder Nishant Patel (ClouDx) pretty much sums up the recent BGMI rumours:
Indian esports in a nutshell ????
Step 1: Say dumb shit on the internet, get quoted verbatim in a media story
Step 2: Delete dumb shit from internet
Step 3: Apologize in private to aggrieved parties and find resolution
Step 4: Call media report fake
