BGMI Rising: Krafton India Announces an Esports Event To Rejoice the Return of the Battle Royale

Krafton is going all in to celebrate the official comeback of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). The latest announcement was of a new event, BGMI Rising, which is part of their new campaign, “Rejoice The Comeback”. A tournament will be organised on the occasion, starting June 1. Rejoice the comeback with BGMI Rising

“The streets are echoing with the whispers of the game to return, and it’s time to answer the call”, says Krafton. BGMI Rising is set to start as the first tournament after “The Comeback”, officially inaugurating competitive gaming with the battle royale after its 11-month-long hiatus from the scene.

BGMI Rising starts tomorrow on June 1st, and will be a four-day-long showdown featuring “64 star studded teams”. Details of the teams have not yet been revealed. Regardless, we can expect some popular esports professionals from India to take part in the event, as Krafton mentions that it’ll be a star-studded affair.

While the format of the tournament and details of the prize pool to have not yet been divulged, Krafton mentions that BGMI Rising will involve “4 days full of action, fun, conversation and much more.”

BGMI Rising will be a celebration of the comeback of BGMI, starting on June 1 until June 4, 2023. The event will be streamed on the official YouTube channel of Battlegrounds Mobile India for fans across India to catch the action live.

BGMI is now downloadable on both iOS and Android, and playable after Krafton’s phased roll out of the game. Update 2.5 is now available in the game, bringing with it the Nusa map, new events, and more.
