BGMI Pro and Content Creator MortaL Sheds Light on the Struggles Indian Teams Face in International Competitions

MortaL, who is regarded as one of the best PUBG Mobile and BGMI players in India, says that BGMI teams from India underperform in global esports tournaments due to lack of confidence.

Indian teams aren’t known to be a formidable force on the global stage when it comes to PUBG Mobile. When MortaL was hosting a watch party for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022, he shed some light on the topic.

MortaL was joined by Pakistani YouTuber MrJayPlays, who asked MortaL his opinion on why Indian and Pakistani teams don’t perform well in the game when it comes to international competitions. MortaL said that the teams underperform because they are underconfident.

“Players usually get underconfident when they are not mentally prepared to face global teams. If players start to prepare themselves for global competition mentally, everything will go right,” MortaL added (via AFKGaming).

S8UL Esports co-owner Goldy was also present at the watch party who chimed in, saying that Indian and Pakistani teams lack the level of discipline, focus, and organisation that is commonly found in global teams. This is a fact in the world of competitive gaming, according to him.

On the topic of players only competing for the money, MortaL said that this is a rare occurrence. Even if some people do this, we do not know who they are. But even if someone is trying to earn money from playing, they can only get money if they win the tournament. So, playing only for money is not common, but MortaL does not think it is bad.
