BGMI Now Available to Play With New Nusa Map, In-Game Events, Weapon, Vehicle, and More

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is now finally available to play on Android and iOS devices. Following almost a year of waiting, the popular Battle Royale title returns to action with new features, as part of Update 2.5. Here is everything you need to know about the new BGMI update and the re-launch.

BGMI relaunch brings a New Map called Nusa

The update is headlined with a new 1×1 map called Nusa. It features a resort island situated in a tropical zone, and it is the smallest playable map in BGMI. The small map allows for matches to last eight minutes, offering high-octane thrilling action during it.

Despite the small size, the map has new modes of traversal such as a zipline to move across points of interests. There are elevators found in the hotels of the ‘New City’ area. Lastly, players can also check out other fun additions in Nusa such as zorb balls, swimming pool, combustible buildings, and more.

With regards to the gameplay, the new map comes with Super Recall in Duo/Squad mode. This feature allows players, who die within a certain time to be recalled with a random weapon by any of the surviving teammates. In Solo mode, players return to the battlefield automatically without any teammates.

Nusa adds ATV and Tactical Crossbow

When it comes to traversal, the map also introduces two-seater off-road ATV, a new vehicle. The lightweight vehicle helps cover uneven terrain with good stability ensuring that it doesn’t rollover easily.

Finally, BGMI fans also get a new weapon called the Tactical Crossbow. It can be used to restore ziplines with loop or set houses on fire using fire arrows. Players can use it to fire shotgun pellets while peeking. When players scope-in, the mode changes to single shot.

BGMI introduces new in-game events

BGMI also brings forth new events such as Underworld Unleashed, a 7-day login event, where players can earn permanent purple grade underworld guardian set. There’s also the Race to the Top in Battlegrounds, a 15-day progressive event with a permanent pink grade Badlands Punk outfit as the reward.

Players can also take part in the Hot Drop into the Battlegrounds, which offers a permanent pink grade sandstrom set as the reward. Finally, there’s Gameplay Glory, which is a 15-day progressive event, which gifts players with a permanent pink grade Noble Lineage set.

Updates to maps, weapons, and more

The update also adds visual improvements to the textures and effects of the waterfall in Livik. Supply shops have now been added to Miramar, Vikendi and Sanhok.

In terms of new additions to these maps, Neostead2000 is now available in Livik, with Miramar getting Monster Trucks. There’s also an improved throwing mechanic for the throwables items in BGMI.

Just like old times, the new BGMI will also feature Royal Pass M21 and M22. There are also new premium skins ranging from the X-Suit and Moondrop Eterna to Spectral Swan covers.
