‘Atrangi Re’ song ‘Chaka Chak’ has Sara Ali Khan dance on husband Dhanush’s engagement

Four days back when the trailer of Aanand L. Rai directorial ‘Atrangi Re’ was released, seeing Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush exploring the territories of new found love with all the necessary elements to make it a catchy love triangle, we could predict the film is sure to engage its audience. Now, the makers have released its first song ‘Chaka Chak’.

Catch beats and peppy lyrics, ‘Chaka Chak’ shows the Dhanush’s character is getting engaged to another woman and his wife in the film Sara Ali Khan celebrates the occasion. Dressed in a neon green sari, Sara is dancing to her heart’s content and the vibrant setting of the song adds a touch of spice to the story. It depicts celebration in a traiditional South Indian home and cuts to the streets with people becoming a part of fun.

Composed by A.R. Rahman, the track has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil and choreography by Vijay Ganguly.

Sharing her first solo dance number on social media, Sara Ali Khan wrote, “Bihar Ki chori ka nikla Gaana. Ab har shaadi par yahi bajana. Guarantee majaa aana. #ChakaChak Out now.”


‘Atrangi Re’ is the second time that Aanand L. Rai and Dhanush have come together. Their first collaboration was ‘Raanjhanaa’.  A T-Series, Cape Of Good Films and Colour Yellow Productions, the film is written by Himanshu Sharma and will release on Disney+Hotstar on December 24.
