Asus Launches GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition Graphics Card

Asus has announced the launch of its latest graphics card, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition.

It has 16GB of GDDR6X video memory, 9728 CUDA cores, PCIe 4.0, 2 x Native HDMI 2.1a, and 3 x Native DisplayPort 1.4a.

The new card has two Noctua NF-A12x25 fans, and a custom-built vapor chamber that is developed by engineers at Asus. It has a network of eight heat pipes and this works to minimize acoustics.

The GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition has a TDP of 320 watts. The company claims it peaks at just 61.7 degrees Celsius, making it the “quietest air-cooled RTX 4080 on the market.”

This card is also the third graphics card to feature Noctua fans and a heatsink made by the company. Asus has expanded the card’s total volume to occupy 4.3 slots of space.

The corporate vice president and general manager of Asus Multimedia Business Unit, Kent Chien, says that the new graphics card builds on the success of Asus’ Noctua Edition cards of the RTX 3070 and 3080. “Once again, we have combined our expertise with Noctua’s mastery of low-noise cooling to create a graphics card that offers an unparalleled experience without compromising on noise levels,” Chien said.

The Asus GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition graphics card is priced at a whopping US$1,649 (≈1.3 lakh INR).
