Arjun Kapoor reacts to dad Boney Kapoor calling him ‘better looking’ than him: ‘After your debut we’ll have competition’

Arjun Kapoor celebrated his birthday in Paris with Malaika Arora. The couple is on a romantic holiday, and has been sharing glimpses of various outings on Instagram. Many celebs, including Kareena Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Karan Johar, wished Arjun on his birthday on Sunday. The actor’s father, producer Boney Kapoor, also shared a birthday post wishing him. On Arjun Kapoor’s birthday, father Boney shared a black-and-white collage featuring strikingly similar photos of the father and son. While Arjun’s photo was a recent one, Boney’s photo was from his younger days. Actor Shabana Azmi commented on Boney’s Instagram post, “Ditto father and beta (son).” An Instagram user also wrote, “Same to same.” One person commented, “Arjun is exact copy of yours.”

Boney Kapoor captioned their photo collage, “Happy birthday beta (son) and stay motivated, you are for sure getting to be better looking than me.” On Monday, Arjun shared his post on Instagram Stories, and wrote, “After your debut in Luv’s film we will all have competition for sure…”

The producer is making his acting debut with Luv Ranjan’s next film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Boney will reportedly be seen playing the role of Ranbir’s father in the film. Earlier, he was seen in a cameo in Anil Kapoor’s AK vs AK. The comedy-thriller was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.

On his birthday, both Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor shared photos on Instagram. Sharing photos of ‘her love’, Malaika wrote, “Make a wish my love, may all your wishes and dreams come true. Happy birthday.” Arjun, too, celebrated his birthday with a post. Sharing his solo photo from Paris, the actor wrote, “Look Maa your son is 37 today and all grown up… I miss you but I know you’re watching over me always and forever.”

Arjun was last seen in the 2021 horror-comedy Bhoot Police. He will be next seen in Ek Villain 2 alongside John Abraham, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria. The film releases in theatres on July 29. Arjun is also working on Ajay Bahl’s The LadyKiller with actor Bhumi Pednekar. He will also be seen in Aasmaan Bhardwaj’s Kuttey.
