NEW DELHI: Apple launches a new Watch Series every year at its annual hardware event. As always, this time also the company unveiled its latest Watch Series 7 at the California Streaming event. With a new smartwatch every year the company also unveils the new version of its operating system. This time Apple showcases watchOS 8 which the company rolled out recently with iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.
The new watchOS 8 is available for download for Apple Watch users. But do you know that not all Apple Watches are compatible with the new Watch OS 8.
Apple Watches not compatible with watchOS 8
The original Apple Watch, Apple Watch Series 1 and the Apple Watch Series 2 will not be compatible with the new watchOS 8. This means that the owners of these three Watch series will not be able to experience the new watchOS on their smartwatches.

How to download watchOS 8
The eligible Apple Watch users can download the watchOS 8 by going to General> Software update on the Watch app on your iPhone. You can also download the update from your Apple Watch if it is connected to WiFi by going to Settings> General> Software update.
With the new watchOS 8, Apple Watch will get various new features including the new Portrait Watch face, Memories collection in a mosaic grid, an updated Home and the ability to share photos through Messages and Mail. The latest OS also consists of a redesigned Breathe app.
