It is only next month that Apple will unveil its newest batch of iPhones. The internet is replete with rumours and leaks about the iPhone 13 and we have shared them here quite a few times already. The news this time is about the pricing of the upcoming iPhone 13 models. A report by market analysis firm TrendForce claims the new iPhones won’t come with a price hike and will be similarly priced to their predecessors.
“As for retail prices, the iPhone 13 series is expected to remain similar to the iPhone 12 series,” says the report.
The reason stated for the claim is that the upcoming iPhones will have some refinements to the design and software-related improvements like better 5G, they are not going to be priced markedly higher than the iPhone 12 series.
The report also predicts that the iPhone 13 will have bigger batteries, a claim that has been made before by others. As for the 5G, the support for the mmWave could extend to more regions beyond the US with the new iPhones, adds the report.
An earlier report by MacRumors had said that Apple plans to launch the 25W power adapter as an accessory for purchase this fall. The reason for bigger batteries and faster charging is the expected Always-on LTPO displays the high-end iPhone models like the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max could come with. Also, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had noted that people should expect a faster A15 chip, a smaller notch, the Always-On mode for the display, 120Hz refresh rate and some upgrades to the video recording with the upcoming iPhone.
