Amazon Music is continuing its expansion in Latin America with the launch of Amazon Music in Argentina.
Starting today, customers in Argentina can access Amazon Music Unlimited, the platform’s full music-subscription tier with unlimited access to Amazon Music’s library of HD and ultra-HD music – spanning 90 million tracks.
The launch of Amazon Music Argentina comes fresh off the heels of the launch of Amazon Music for Colombia and Chile on November 10, 2021.
Listeners will also be able to access an ad-supported selection of playlists and radio stations for free.
Locally curated playlists and stations will also be a feature, including Cumbia al Sur, a playlist of weekly releases of Argentinian cumbia music, the Argentinian trap and rap playlist Flow Argento, rock playlist Clásicos Rock Argentino, and Mate en la Mañana, specializing in international music from the likes of Dua Lipa and The Weeknd.
All customers, no matter which streaming tier they opt for, will also have access to podcast episodes at no additional cost, says Amazon.
New customers can sign up for a free, three-month trial of Amazon Music Unlimited in Argentina for a limited time.
The Individual Plan is ARS $279/month ($2.38 USD), or the Family Plan, which allows up to six members of the same family to use one subscription, for ARS $489/month ($4.18 USD), all plus applicable taxes.
While Amazon Music has already launched in Argentina, the company is still searching for some key executives to manage the service in the territory.
Amazon Music were hiring for a Head of Music – Argentina role on MBW back in January. According to a LinkedIn advertisement updated four days ago, that role is still available.
Amazon Music is also currently hiring for a Music Curator, Amazon Music, and a Sr. Label Relations / Artist Relations Mgr, both based in Buenos Aires.
