Aamir Khan has de decided to don the producer’s cap for Sunny Deol’s Lahore, 1947. Earlier, it was been presumed that Mr Perfectionist would not be a part of the film’s cast, however, now an E-Times report suggests otherwise. If the latest buzz surrounding the drama is to be believed, Aamir Khan is likely to do a special cameo in the film. It must be noted here that Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol have never shared the screen up till now. If these reports turn out to be true, it would be exciting to see the Bollywood two stalwarts coming together.
All About Lahore, 1947
Lahore, 1947 will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The drama will be produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. This will be Sunny Doel’s 4th collaboration with director Rajkumar Santoshi after Ghayal, Damini, and Ghatak. Meanwhile, no further details regarding the cast and crew of the venture have been revealed till now.
Aside from this, Aamir Khan will also be working on the Bollywood adaptation of the Spanish film Champions. While he was expected to be a part of the drama as an actor, Aamir Khan later announced that he would only be producing the flick. Now, it is also being reported that Farhan Akhtar has been roped in to front the upcoming sports drama.
After the box office debacle of Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chadha, Mr Perfectionist decided to take some time off work to be with his family. He revealed, “I feel I have been working for 35 years and I have single mindedly been focused on my work. I feel this is not fair to people who are close to me. It is not fair to me also in many ways.”
What Will Be Aamir Khan’s Forthcoming Project?
Up next, Aamir Khan has not announced his next as an actor. However, trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed via a Twitter post that Mr Perfectionist has locked Christmas 2024 as the release date for his next. This means that Aamir Khan’s next will be locking horns with Akshay Kumar starrer Welcome To The Jungle at the box office. The third installment in the Welcome series enjoys an ensemble cast.
