Mario Kart 8 Wave 6 DLC release time, date and NEW Booster courses for Switch

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fans are counting down to the release of the final wave of DLC Booster Courses. The Mario Kart 8 Wave 6 DLC has a November 9 release date on Nintendo Switch. While there’s no exact launch time, the Nintendo eShop is typically updated at around 2pm GMT UK time, so expect the courses to go live around then. The latest wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC contains two cups with eight courses, as well as four returning characters.

The Acorn Cup contains Rome Avanti from Mario Kart Tour, DK Mountain from Mario Kart Double Dash on the Gamecube, Daisy Circuit from Mario Kart Wii and Piranha Plant Cove.

It will be joined by the Spiny Cup, which adds Madrid Drive from Mario Kart Tour, Rosalina’s Ice World from Mario Kart 7, Bowser Castle 3 from the original Mario Kart on the SNES, as well as the Mario Kart Wii version of Rainbow Road.

Elsewhere, Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Pauline and Peachette will join the game as playable characters.

Finally, Nintendo plans to add over 15 extra Mii Racing Suits, such as the Toadette Suit, Goomba Suit and Daisy Suit. You can use the costumes to dress up your Mii characters within the game.

Wave 6 is the final expansion pack for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which now boasts almost 100 courses across the core game and DLC.

Nintendo Switch owners can purchase the entire Booster Course DLC from the Nintendo eShop for £22.99.

Alternatively, Expansion Pass + subscribers can access each wave at no extra cost as part of their membership. 

The Expansion Pass also grants access to a host of classic N64 and Sega Mega Drive games, as well as Animal Crossing DLC and Splatoon content.
