Have you ever ordered anything from Bungie Store recently? Well, a Destiny 2 fan ordered a pullover sweatshirt from the company’s merchant store recently, but the final product doesn’t look even close to the images that have been listed for the item on the store page.
This misleading advertisement was enough for fans to begin a new wave of rage toward Bungie on Reddit. But this time, you can’t actually blame the community for overreacting as the final product looks quite downgraded when compared to its store images.
This particular pullover sweatshirt features a logo of Trials of Osiris in the middle of the chest, with two thick orange trims on the arms accompanied by small icons of Trials of Osiris appearing in a beautiful pattern. However, the real product that the poor fan has received is significantly downgraded as all the patterns and orange trims on the arms have been replaced with a single Trials of Osiris logo similar to the one on the chest.
“Actual scam, looks nothing like the product pictured,” reads the Reddit post shared by the Destiny 2 fan who has purchased the clothing. “This company does nothing but disappoint me day after day at this point between the game and this flagrant false advertising of a product in their store.”
Although the original poster didn’t mention whether they have contacted Bungie for this misleading advertisement, they did mention that the name of the product on the delivery box doesn’t even match the one submitted online. So, this might actually be a mistake in sending the right product, but it remains unknown whether it was just a human error or Bungie has sent a different edition maybe because the one on the website has been sold out.
Either way, the player who has received this product should have the right to request a refund. Bungie is yet to react to this matter, but this is a subject that probably needs to be approached privately.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time something like this happens with Bungie Store. Only five days earlier, another Destiny 2 player shared a post on Reddit, claiming that the product they have received is completely different from the one listed on the website color-wise. And, that was an Iron Banner sweatshirt.
Most of these purchases are apparently made around Bungie Day, which could mean the company has faced some issues at the time with the orders that might deserve an official statement or apology.
