Sony is gearing up to announce the PlayStation Plus Essentials line-up for July 2023. The next wave of free PS4 and PS5 games will be officially revealed at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of June 28. The games will be available to download and play less than a week later on the morning of July 4. This means subscribers have less than a week to download the current batch of PS Plus games, which include NBA 2K23, Trek to Yomi and Jurassic World Evolution 2. If the latest rumours are to be believed, the July 2023 PS Plus line-up could be even better, with Demon’s Souls reportedly headlining.

The martial arts action game features one of the best combat systems in recent memory, as well as an interesting gameplay gimmick where players age every time they die.
A revenge story set in locations such as a nightclub, museum, and skyrise building, players will need to take down each martial arts master before reaching the age of 70.
Elsewhere, Gotham Knights also gets multiple mentions in the predictions thread, alongside LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origins and the recent Saints Row reboot.
Elsewhere, other fans think FIFA 23 might join PS Plus, alongside Tunic, No Man’s Sky and Alan Wake.
That’s on top of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, Guilty Gear Strive, Cult of the Lamb, Sonic Colours, and The Pathless.

Sony is offering fans the chance to unlock custom avatars and enter competitions as part of the event.
The company also announced that it was testing cloud streaming for PS5 games, which should be available to higher tier subscribers soon.
