Shirley Curry, AKA Skyrim Grandma, won’t be making an appearance in the upcoming Starfield. The 87-year-old YouTuber, who will be featured in The Elder Scrolls VI as an NPC, confirmed she wasn’t contacted about being in Bethesda’s upcoming space RPG.
“They never contacted me to be in [Starfield] so I’m not,” Curry said, in response to a comment on a YouTube video (via Reddit). “Also, I will never play it,” she added.
During the recent Starfield Direct, Bethesda made a reference to a character named Grandma, leading to speculation that Curry may be featured in the game. Though, as relayed by GamesRadar, Curry said, “Someone called ‘grandma’ may just be a nod to me… which would be sweet.”
Curry began her YouTube channel in 2011 and after uploading her first Skyrim video in 2015, her popularity skyrocketed. This led to her apt nickname of “Skyrim Grandma.” She currently has over 1.22 million YouTube subscribers and still posts Skyrim videos to this day. In 2017, Curry broke a world record for being the oldest streamer at the time.
While Curry won’t be playing Starfield, she is eagerly anticipating the release of The Elder Scrolls VI. However, it’s unclear when it will release.
