A Star Wars Jedi: Survivor player by the TikTok username Aidenversusfifa, posted a clip of what they presume to be a glitch they faced early in the game, on the planet Koboh.
They captioned it, “This has to be the craziest video game glitch of all time”. We can see in the video, that just as the player is about to enter a cave, they notice a very significant sound, that all Star Wars fans are well familiar with: the mechanical breathing of Darth Vader. As they should be, the player is half shocked and half horrified as they wonder what that sound is because they don’t see anyone around the first time. They even ask- “Bro am I losing my mind or is Vader breathing down my neck right now? This must be a glitch with the new update.”
The second time, however, when the player re-enters the cave to climb up a ledge, they see Darth Vader standing atop it. They let out an ear-splitting shriek, to scoot out of the cave when the boss fight bar too appears. Following this, they even try to reset the game by jumping off the cliff, but Vader continues to appear at the spot. They later go on to face Vader, only to realise that they aren’t actually taking any damage. Also, since the player chickens out in front of Vader a couple of times, we kind of also see the former flailing his saber around when the player is not in his proximity.
It’s all a little funny, coupled with Aidenversusfifa’s hilarious reactions. But one can only imagine how frustrating it must if it’s indeed a glitch, for those waiting for the big reveal of Darth Vader himself at the end.
Having said that, reports of other players facing this glitch haven’t yet come to our notice, including in the comment section of the original post on TikTok. Neither did IGN India notice the glitch during our playthrough of the game.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched to mixed reviews last month on April 28. The game’s poor performance on PC was criticised the most. Many have been reporting their frustrations with the game, as the title still contains multiple bugs and glitches that are yet to be fixed by EA.
