In addition to that, the device also has one feature that most modern MacBooks is missing — the USB Type-A ports and there are three of them on the DIY device for connecting additional keyboard and peripherals.

In the video, Iketsj has made the entire handheld PC from scratch from placing the boards and wires to bringing the entire device together. The YouTuber also boots up the macOS Big Sur after he’s done with the DIY process. He then connects an external keyboard as well to show the device working for a brief time period.
The YouTuber also states that this handheld PC might not be practical and he has made this for himself. But, the question is how practical these fully functional devices running a full-fledged laptop or desktop operating system can be?
They might not be as practical as a laptop or a computer. Also, the compact form factor will make it hard to use using the tiny input options on the device. Neither can they replace a modern smartphone given they are now more capable and efficient than ever. They offer most of the PC-like functionality in a small form factor and specifically designed for small touch displays.
Also, the overall cost of making them turns out to be almost equal or more than the M1 MacBook Air, which the YouTuber also admits in the video, can be a big factor for most people.
