While Black Panther: Wakanda Forever might not be making a run for any Best Picture awards like its predecessor, one of its cast members has put the film on the map for major recognition.
The actor that we’re talking about is none other than Angela Bassett, who plays Queen Ramonda of Wakanda in the film. So far, she has been nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild Awards and even at The Academy. Moreover, she has even won the aforementioned category at the 2022 edition of the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards.
On February 1, the worldwide phenomenon arrives on DisneyPlus Hotstar.

Following the death of Chadwick Boseman, Bassett and Shuri actress Letitia Wright took the reins of the sequel, and producer Nate Moore recently explained why the former matters a ton in the film. “Ramonda is such an important character,” said Moore. “Here’s a mother who’s lost her husband and now her son. She has been ruling Wakanda in the absence of the king. It’s an interesting dichotomy, seeing these two women as leaders, as the queen and the princess, and as mother and daughter.”
If you have missed watching Angela Bassett’s powerful performance as Queen Ramonda, then worry not, as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar from February 1.
