Leaker Reveals More Details For Need For Speed 2022

Need for Speed is a franchise that is synonymous with the racing games genre and the players are aching for a new instalment to the franchise. Recently we learned about a leak which provides certain details about the effects, features and character design that will be used for NFS 2022. This leak came from popular subreddit, r/GamingLeaksAndRumours. He spoke about the cartoonish effects and returning features and modes to the game which he learned about from a buddy at EA.

The same leaker has now expanded more on the game and has provided some exciting details that we might get to see in the next instalment of the franchise. A new leaked video has been found which provides the players with an idea of how the cartoonish effects and crash-cams will work in the game. The video still looks like a work in progress title as the visuals are not on par with the next-gen games that have been releasing throughout the year. Check out the leaked video here.

In the video, the players will see a car crashing into a monument, as soon as it bangs into it, a doodle themed skull appears on top of the car and doodle themed eagle wings appear on each side of the car. Players will also observe that the screen becomes glitchy upon crash, which is the new crash cam effect that players will observe in this title. The leaker has also provided more details about the gameplay, car meets, story, content and other info.

According to him, the gameplay will not include drag racing or drift events. Speedcross wil be returning in this instalment along with a simplified upgrade system inspired from Forza. Car meets will be menu based, players can enter a car park, swap cars, bet on other people during events and more. This will be a great way to earn the extra in-game currency.

For the story the leaker has stated that it will have an inclusive feel just like NFS Heat. The developers will be focusing on diversity and will include strong female and cultural representation in the upcoming game. He adds about the intro cut-scene stating that players will see a BMW performing donuts without any doors on with Latin music. The game will get content and be supported for a year at least, depending on the amount it grosses and the reviews it gets.

Other information talks about the developers that will be working on the title, most of them are new eyes to the franchise, some of them are existing personnel. Their main aim with this instalment would be to grow their audience and include more of the younger generation.
