iOS 15.4 is a feature-packed update that comes with ability to unlock iPhone with mask on, Live text integration and more. However, days after its rollout, many iPhone users have started complaining about quick battery drain on their device after installing the update. Many took to microblogging platform Twitter to complain about the same.
Now, Apple has responded to one of those tweets saying that it is normal for apps and features to adjust to an update. “Thanks for reaching out! We’ll be happy to help. It’s normal for your apps and features to need to adjust up to 48 hours after an update. Let’s have you reach out to us in a DM if this is still an issue after that time so we can help you look into this further”, wrote Apple Support Twitter handle in reply to one of the users complaining about the faster battery drain.
In case a user wants to see more help on the battery front, Apple has also shared link to a battery support page titled “Maximizing Battery Life and Lifespan”. The page lists tips like dimming the screen or turning on Auto-brightness to extend battery life on iPhones. Users can also enable Low Power mode to control battery usage on the device.
It must be noted that not all iPhone users were facing battery issues after updating to iOS 15.4. Also, the impact varied from one device to another. According to online reports, iPhone 13 Pro Max only lasted for half a day while an older iPhone 11 dropped 80 percent battery charge in 24 hours with two hours of screen on time.
iOS 15.4 as stated above brings the ability to unlock iPhone while wearing a mask. Currently iPhone 12 and above models are supported. It also comes with more than 100 new emojis from the Emoji 14.0 set, a new voice for Siri, improvements to Safari web page translations and more.
