Samsung has unveiled its new monitor lineup ahead of CES 2022. The company says that the new lineup delivers good picture quality and features to give consumers more choice while selecting a monitor based on their needs.
Samsung’s new monitor lineup, according to the company, is aimed to offer the best possible experiences while working, gaming or watching content.
The lineup features advanced technologies from the company that includes Quantum Mini LED-backlit, HDR 2000 support and smart features.
As a part of the lineup, the company has unveiled Odyssey Neo G8, Smart Monitor M8 and High-Resolution Monitor S8.
Odyssey Neo G8: Features
Odyssey Neo G8 is the world’s first monitor to feature a 4K (3840 x2160) pixels resolution with 1000R curved screen, 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. The gaming monitor features a 32-inch display with Quantum Dot Mini LEDs, Quantum HDR 2000 and 2000nits of peak brightness.
In terms of design, the monitor is based on a similar design language as the Neo G9 with clean and sleep white exterior and CoreSync lighting. The CoreSync automatically detects the colours on the screen and sync up accordingly.
Smart Monitor M8: Features
The Smart Monitor M8 (M80B) features ultra-thin bezels of 11.4mm and has a flat back design for better usability. It features a 32-inch UHD panel with 99% sRGB colour gamut and it supports 1.07 billion colours at 400nits of peak brightness.
As the name suggests, the monitor comes with built-in smart TV and productivity apps that includes SmartThings control hub to allow users to control their smart home devices directly from the monitor.
Smart Monitor M8 also features a movable magnetic SlimFit Cam for clear video calls while working from home or office. Apart from that it also comes with built-in video call application support including Google Duo.
Samsung High-Resolution Monitor S8
Samsung has also showcased its S8 series monitors at CES 2022. High Resolution Monitor S8 monitor will come in two screen sizes — 27-inch and 32-inch and both feature a UHD panel with 98% DCI-P3 colour gamut. These monitors also feature Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) Display HDR 600 for an immersive viewing experience. The panels on the displays are matte and are also the world’s first to feature UL (Underwriter Laboratories) verification for Glare Free monitor.
Both models feature USB Type-C 90W charging and LAN ports to help users charge laptops and mobile devices with no additional docking station required.
The monitors feature Height Adjustable Stand that offers tilt, swivel and pivot control points, allowing users to adjust the monitor as per their needs.
