Microsoft is reportedly working to upgrade one of the useful features in the Edge browser. As reported by TechRadar, Reddit user Leo Varela has spotted a new functionality in the Web Capture tool that was introduced by the company last year. For those who don’t know, Web Capture makes it easier for users to capture quick screenshots from web pages. Users can save an entire webpage or a certain section. But previously, users were not able to take screenshots of a few types of content on the browser, especially PDF files. With the new functionality, the tool can reportedly capture all types of content visible on the browser in a screenshot.
As of now, the Web Capture button on the browser stops working when you try to capture a screenshot. However, that is not the case in the latest Edge Canary build. Leo has also revealed that with the upgrade users do not get the option to capture a certain section visible on the screen. The company has not yet revealed anything about the new functionality and it is not yet known when it will be rolled out to the public.
Recently, MIcrosoft rolled out a new update for its Edge browser. The latest version of the browser is called Edge 96. As Microsoft is continuously pushing users to use its Edge web browser on Windows 11 by blocking apps like EdgeDeflector, it has also improved its browser by adding a few new features with the latest update.
On Edge you can now easily update your saved passwords that have been compromised. When you go to the password manager in the browser’s setting, you can tap on the Go to button near your saved password. The button will take you to the right page to update your password for that site. As of now, the feature is only available for a few websites but the company says it’s going to expand it soon.
