The event was cancelled last year due to the Covid-19 outbreak, but this year it hasn’t been cancelled. The event is set to kick-start tomorrow, May 18 and will go on till May 20.

The company has been tight-lipped about all that is going to be announced at the Google I/O 2021. “Tune in to find out about how we’re furthering our mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful,” reads the official description of the keynote.
Google I/O 2021: What to expect
As per online reports, Google is expected to unveil its next major Android update and all the key features that all Android users are expected to get soon.
Other than this, at this event, Google is also likely to showcase noteworthy updates for its services and software.
Google is rumoured to include some hardware launches too such as the new model of Pixel Buds true wireless headphones.
There have been rumours about Google working on a custom-designed system on a chip (SoC) for further Pixel phones and it is likely that the company will either unveil it or at least confirm its presence.
