10 new OTT movies and shows to binge watch this weekend | Digit

The weekend is here folks and I bring you a list of 10 new releases which you can binge-watch with your friends. Check out these 10 new releases, which include both movies and shows on OTT platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee 5, and Sony LIV. 

Jailer

Jailer is a Kollywood movie that stars Rajnikanth as Muthuvel Pandian. Muthuvel Pandian is a retired police official whose son, ACP Arjun, went missing and presumed dead while investigating a gangster. Then Muthuvel gets back into the field to investigate his son’s kidnapping.

Haddi

Haddi is a Bollywood movie that stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the main character. The movie is about a man who undergoes a transformation and becomes a transgender, joining a group of transgenders in Delhi to seek revenge against a gangster turned politician.

The Little Mermaid

Who doesn’t know about ‘The Little Mermaid’? It is the story of a mermaid named Ariel, who falls in love with a human while saving him from drowning. She then asked a sea witch, Ursula, to make her human for three days so that she could tell that human her feelings.

I am Groot Season 2

The second season of I am Groot is a series of shorts that document the adventures of baby Groot as he explores the furthest reaches of space and meets new characters.

Insidious Chapter 3

Insidious 3 takes the viewer on a riveting journey alongside Quinn Brenner, a teenager who successfully persuades Elise, a retired demonologist, to contact the spirit of her mother who tragically died a year ago. However, Elise quickly warns Quinn against further attempts at communicating with her mother after detecting a malevolent entity lurking in the shadows.

Lokki Chhele: An Angel’s Kiss

Lokki Chhele: An Angel’s Kiss stars Ujaan Ganguly as the main character. This is a Bengali language drama movie. The movie is about a doctor who visits a rural area with his two colleagues. Upon reaching the village, the doctors are shocked to discover the superstitious beliefs of the villagers. They refuse medical treatment for a newborn girl named Lokki due to their superstitions.

The Changeling

The movie is based on a novel named The Changeling by Victor LaVelle. It is about a man, Apollo, who sells old books and becomes a father. But then, his wife, Emma, starts acting strange and doesn’t seem to care for their baby. Apollo thinks maybe she is suffering from postpartum depression, which is a condition that could happen to mothers after having a baby. But then, Emma does something terrible and disappears. Apollo then goes on a mission to find her.

Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight Season 3

Po and the gang return once again in their attempt to find and secure the magical Tianshang Weapons before the evil weasel twins Klaus and Veruca can get their hands on them. Their pursuit of the magical weapons leads them to England, where they must prevent the twins from accomplishing their evil designs

Virgin River Season 5

In the fifth season of Virgin River, there are so many things happening around Melinda “Mel” Monroe, such as new relationships forming, a breakup between characters, a court trial, and much more.
