Grand Theft Auto fans are counting down to the release of the next major GTA Online update. Adding new features and festive surprises, the next major GTA Online update is tipped to have a December 12 release date on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Based on previous updates, fans can expect the Grand Theft Auto Online December update to have a 10am GMT UK launch time. To ensure you don’t miss a second of the action, pre-loading appears to be available on PlayStation.
That’s according to RocksterIntel, which claims that version 1.006.000 weighs in at around 6GB on PS5 and roughly 3GB on PS4.
As for the content, the December 2023 GTA Online update brings back Liberty City real estate developer Yusuf Amir. It’s part of the new Salvage Yard missions, which involves stealing cars.
Rockstar explains more: “This winter, the ever-evolving world of GTA Online continues to deliver something for everyone; from a brand-new illicit Salvage Yard business fuelled by audacious Vehicle Robberies, to Drift Races for select vehicles custom-made for precision slide turns, gassed-up new vehicles, and more.
“There are also exciting festive surprises for the holidays, limited-time Rockstar Games 25th Anniversary in-game apparel, and much more to celebrate this momentous occasion.”
As part of the update, players will need to plan and execute robberies, and salvage and sell parts. You’ll also be able to purchase a new salvage yard called Red’s Auto Parts.
Animals are also coming to GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while new Drift Races will be available on all platforms.
