YouTube brings the Green Screen feature to these users – Times of India

Creators using YouTube Shorts will now be able to incorporate content from other users within their videos. The Google-owned video streaming platform has started rolling out the Green Screen feature for YouTube Shorts users. This new feature will allow creators to include up to 60 seconds of an eligible YouTube VOD or Short that can be used as the background for their original content. YouTube’s new green screen feature allows creators to incorporate both the video and audio from a sampled clip.

However, Youtube has started rolling out this feature just for iOS users. This feature will be enabled for Android users at a later date. The company has not confirmed the official Android launch date yet.
How to enable the YouTube Shorts Green Screen feature
Users can access the Green Screen feature through the three-dots menu available in the YouTube Shorts app.
How to disable the YouTube Shorts Green Screen feature
Creators can also disable the Green Screen sharing feature through YouTube Studio if they don’t want other people using their long-form videos on a single or multiple Shorts. However, creators will be able to see a link to the original video in the Shorts player every time someone uses others’ content.
Other features recently introduced by YouTube
Apart from the Green Screen feature, the Google-owned video platform also announced the Cut functionality last month. Creators can use this feature to add up to five seconds of footage from an eligible Short or YouTube video to their clip. A similar feature called Remixing has played an important role in TikTok’s success. To compete with TikTok, Youtube follows suit by offering similar tools to its users.
