WhatsApp web users get new stickers feature with beta update – Times of India

Last month, WhatsApp rolled out a feature for the web users that allows them to create stickers from photos. As per a report by WABetaInfo, the platform is now releasing a new feature with the beta update that allows WhatsApp web users to explore the Sticker Store. Previously, the users could only send the stickers that were already available in the panel or they had sent or received through the smartphone app. With the new sticker store, users can now search for a sticker to send to another user of a Group.
With the latest beta update, users can now open the Sticker Store on WhatsApp web by tapping in the plus icon in the sticker tray. Although the Sticker Store has the same sticker packs that are seen on Android and iOS devices, it works differently on the web. Web users cannot download a sticker pack but they can pick a single sticker from the pack to send to the chat. Users can also tap on the sticker to see the pack it belongs to. As of now, the feature is only available to users who are enrolled in WhatsApp Desktop beta program but it is expected that it will be rolled out to other users soon.
Earlier this week, WhatsApp started rolling out skin tone combinations for Android devices with a beta update. Android smartphone users can now create different skin tone combinations for couple emojis on WhatsApp. Till now, the feature was only available for Apple iPhone users and it was previously spotted in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.22.8 changelog, but it was under development. Although the Facebook-owned platform has not revealed when the feature will be rolled out for the public, it is expected that it will be available in the upcoming updates.
