Warzone 2 DMZ: How To Complete Chemist’s Sources

Many of the Warzone 2 DMZ Faction Missions feature a series of objectives that are pretty simple to follow. Though many of these so-called missions task you with delivering particular items to a Dead Drop, others are rather vague. This is the case with Chemist’s Sources, a Story Mission tasking you with solving a riddle in order to locate a sample of Russian Gas.

Chemist’s Sources is the Story Mission for Tier 4 of the White Lotus faction as if Season 4. To complete it, you will need to find and take the Chemist’s Intel, and then follow the Chemist’s Intel to find a sample of Russian gas in Vondel. The rewards for completing Chemist’s Sources are the Trail Of Bullets calling card and 10,000 XP.

Finding & Taking The Chemist’s Intel

The very first objective of Chemist’s Intel tasks you with finding and taking the Chemist’s Intel. This particular note is carried by the Chemist, a Commander who resides within the Radiation Zone on Al Mazrah. Most of you should be familiar with the Chemist, who can be identified by his signature yellow hazmat suit.

Kill the Chemist within the Radiation Zone. Once you have done so, he will drop numerous items including a Three-Plate Medic Vest, an Advanced UAV, and a Golden Skull. The Chemist will also drop the Chemist’s Intel. Simply loot this item to fulfill the first objective.

Finding The Sample Of Russian Gas On Vondel

The second objective of Chemist’s Sources tasks you with finding a sample of Russian gas on Vondel. Though finding such an item may seem like searching for a needle in a haystack, reading the Chemist’s Intel actually provides you with a clue to the sample’s whereabouts.

The note details that the Vondel Gas Sample is located within a “spot that includes many twists and turns.” The area that the note is referring to is in fact the maze located to the south of the Fire Department. You will find the Vondel Gas Sample within a dead end of the maze towards the north entrance – sitting beside a statue.

Though looting this item will fulfill the third and final objective, we recommend extracting the Vondel Gas Sample to secure it into your Mission Item Stash – as it will be needed for the Tier 5 White Lotus Story Mission.
