Vivek Oberoi talks of ‘pain, disappointment’ as his and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s film Kaduva gets postponed

Vivek Oberoi wrote an emotional note as his next film Kaduva, which also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, was postponed by a week. Prithviraj Sukumaran had made the delay announcement in a post on Monday which read, “Bigger the dreams, larger the obstacles. Stronger the enemies, harder the fight! #KADUVA release has been postponed by one week to 07/07/2022 due to unforeseen circumstances. We will continue with all promotional activities as scheduled and keep faith in all your love and support for this mass action entertainer.” The actor also extended apologies to fans, distributors, and theatre owners across the world for the delay.

Vivek Oberoi, who plays the antagonist in the film, reacted to Prithviraj’s post on his Twitter account on Tuesday. He wrote, “I feel your pain & disappointment brother, we are all in this together. You have 100% of my support as always! With the love & prayers of all the fans & support of all our distributors and theatres #Kaduva will be unstoppable, NO ONE CAN CAGE THIS TIGER! Roaring in theatres soon!”

Kaduva, which means tiger in Malayalam, is also a short form of Prithviraj’s character’s name in the film. It stars Samyukhta Menon opposite him. Vivek Oberoi plays the Deputy Inspector General of Police Joesph Chandy. Set in the 1990s, the film revolves around Kaduva, an influential rubber planter, and his rivalry with Vivek’s Joseph.

The film also stars James Elias Manjiledathu, Seema, Janardhanan, Priyanka Nair, Sudev Nair, Aju Varghese, and Dileesh Pothan in pivotal roles. Prithviraj’s wife Supriya Menon has produced the film under their banner Prithviraj Productions, in association with Listin Stephen of Magic Frames.
