Popular Twitch streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa aka Amouranth recently revealed on stream that her controlling husband constantly abused her. Though the stream was deleted, clips from it went viral on social media and the whole thing became a hot topic. Now, the streamer has updated fans on her condition in a new video.
In the new stream, Amouranth thanked everyone for their support. She revealed that many people reached out to her to show concern. Addressing the whole husband situation, she said that she disappeared for around two hours during a stream as he called her. Then she finally unmuted the stream an hour and a half into the call. She apologised if it was hard for people to watch that, but she didn’t know what else to do.
Amouranth added that this is the first time her husband heard himself on a recording. He was recorded being abusive before too, she says, but he hadn’t listened to that. “I think when he heard himself on that call, it really sunk in how much of an asshole he really is,” she said. “It’s like, you never even realised, idiot?”
The streamer then revealed that, fortunately, she now has access to all her accounts and finances again. She also added that her husband is getting help, and she is seeking legal and emotional counsel. Amouranth also appeared surprised with the outpour of support and love from the community.
However, not everyone wanted the best for her. Amouranth stated that her “former cameraman” was one of the people who used the situation for “personal gain and clout”. She said that he created a scene during TwitchCon weekend that, and made the situation “more explosive than it needed to be.”
About going to the police earlier, she said that she tried, but the police said they couldn’t do anything unless she was physically harmed. Amouranth ended the stream on a happy note, stating that she would begin a new chapter by taking some time to process things and spend time with her animals.
