Tiny Meal Costed A Woman Rs. 3,500; Twitter Calls It ‘Daylight Robbery’

Ordering food at a restaurant is no easy feat. After selecting our favourite dishes, we need to judge if the portion size is enough for our appetite. Further, the dish must be satiating and fulfilling and also provide value for money. When a UK woman went out for a meal at a London restaurant and ordered chicken and fries for 35 pounds or Rs. 3,500/-, little did she know that the portion size would be barely there. Take a look at the tweet she shared:

Shared on Twitter by user @raveen___x, the post has received 10k likes and hundreds of retweets and comments. In the photograph, we can see a single piece of baked chicken along with a meat-filled scone and a dip. French fries can also be seen in the background of the picture. “Guys look at my £30 meal I got at the shard,” read the caption to the post, referring to the London skyscraper Shard. “The fries were £5 extra,” she added.

The tiny meal was all that the Twitter user had for her main course. Other Twitter users were left aghast at the costly meal which had extremely small portion sizes. Some referred to it as a ‘daylight robbery’ while others called it ‘outrageous’. A few said that the London restaurant she had dined at was probably charging her the amount for the nice view of the city.
