This could be our first look at OnePlus’ next high-end smartphone – Times of India

OnePlus’ recent portfolio has been a little confusing this year. So, there is a OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 10R, but no vanilla OnePlus 10. And the company is planning to introduce a second flagship — OnePlus 10T — like every other Chinese manufacturer for the year’s second half of the year. There were rumours of OnePlus working on a premium high-end smartphone, but there was not much going around that later. However, a new patent gives us our first look at what could be OnePlus’ next true flagship smartphone.
A patent has emerged online, submitted by OnePlus to China’s patent authority. First spotted by the Chinese publication ITHome, the patent shows off multiple drawings of an unreleased OnePlus smartphone from different angles.
The purported smartphone in the patent bears an astonishingly similar design to the OnePlus 10 Pro. However, the phone can be seen featuring a periscope camera at the back — which was expected to be a major highlight of the OnePlus 10 Ultra.
Furthermore, we can also find an alert slider — a feature reserved for the premium OnePlus smartphones — suggesting that the smartphone in the patent could be a yet-to-be-released high-end OnePlus smartphone but not necessarily the OnePlus 10 Ultra or could it be?
A patent does not ensure an imminent release or not even a release. There could be a chance that these are the schematics of the OnePlus 10 Ultra, which got reportedly shelved, or this could be a whole new smartphone altogether.
