The Pokemon Company: Creatures Inc CEO Exits while Retaining Leadership Position

The Pokemon Company has a lot on their shoulders at the moment as they are working towards the release of their reboot series, Pokemon Horizons. The familiar faces of Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu featured in the Pokemon anime has come to an end after 25 years as Ash took home title of World Champion. Starting April 14, 2023, Pokemon Horizon will feature new protagonists, Liko and Roy, alongside other new characters going on a brand new adventure.

In the process of dealing with this release, The Pokemon Company now has another issue to deal with on their shoulders. Spotted by GamesRadar+, Joe Merrick, the owner of popular Pokemon database, Serebii.net has just revealed some vital information about one of the partners that owns The Pokemon Company, Creatures Inc.

Merrick posted on Twitter that CEO/president, Tsunekazu Ishihara and executive vice president, Hirokazu Tanaka, have left their positions in the company. Yuji Kitano and Tomotaka Komura will replace them, respectively.

Creatures Inc is the company that is one of the three main owners of The Pokemon Company, along with Nintendo and GameFreak. Creatures Inc is also responsible for bringing players the Pokemon Trading Card Game and other spinoff titles of the franchise. They also own the Pokemon CG Studio, that creates 3D models for all types of Pokemon.

Although Ishihara has stepped down from the CEO role at Creatures Inc., he still retains the position over at The Pokemon Company. At the moment, this change should not bring that big of an impact to the franchise. It will be exciting to see what Creatures Inc. can accomplish under new leadership.
