As popular as The Matrix franchise remains 24 years after the original film’s debut, there’s a surprising lack of Matrix collectibles on the market. Thankfully, Diamond Select Toys is doing its part to end that drought by launching a new line of PVC statues inspired by the iconic franchise.
IGN can exclusively reveal the first statue in DST’s The Matrix line. Surprisingly, it isn’t Keanu Reeves’ Neo who kicks things off, but rather Hugo Weaving’s devious villain, Agent Smith. get a closer look at the Matrix Gallery: Agent Smith PVC Diorama in the slideshow gallery below:
This diorama is based on the climactic fight scene between Neo and Smith in the original film, and shows Smith attacking his foe with a blindingly fast series of punches. There’s no word yet on whether DST is planning a companion Neo piece, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed.
The Agent Smith PVC diorama measures roughly ten inches in height. The piece was designed by Nelson X. Asencio and sculpted by Jorge Santos Souza. It’s priced at $59.99 and is expected to ship in Q1 2024 (just in time for the movie’s 25th anniversary). Preorders will open on the Diamond Select Toys website on Thursday, May 18 at 9pm PT.
You’ll also be able to preorder Agent Smith through the IGN Store. For now, check out the other Diamond Select items currently available on the IGN Store, as well as a very cool Din Djarin on Speeder Bike statue.
