GLA University distinguishes itself from other colleges providing engineering education in India by fostering experiential learning outside of the classroom. In addition, the GLA promotes the development of entrepreneurial mindsets through the establishment of a New-Gen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre ( IEDC). It is a programme initiated by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) of the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Government of India.

GLA University believes in Innovation and Invention. Various GLAians designed their own prototype with the guidance of faculty members. In the year 2020 itself, 220+ patents have been registered by the students at GLA. Also, the management students leverage the GLA’s collaboration with Bada Business- a venture by Mr Vivek Bindra. Few of the granted patents are I-COS (IGNITION CUT OFF SYSTEM)- Automobiles are essential in this modern developing world. Two-wheelers being one of them. The main reason for accidents in two-wheelers is due to the side stand not being pulled off and minor driving. GLAians, with the help of NewGen IEDC have developed I-Cos (IGNITION CUT OFF SYSTEM) that will prevent minor driving incidents and prevent the two-wheelers from starting before all the stands have been retrieved. The patent has also been granted for the same. ASWAN (Distillation Based Water Purification System)– GLAians have developed this prototype to fix the issue of waste of water and diseases due to contaminated water. This will not only provide pure water, but will also waste a very small amount of contaminated water from it. The patent has also been granted for the same. Smart Bird (Hybrid Bike)- GLAians, with the help of NewGen IEDC have developed A Smart Bird Hybrid Bike with multiple distinct energy sources which can be separately or simultaneously operated to propel the vehicle. The patent has also been granted for the same.

Chancellor Shri Narayan Das Agrawal says, GLA make learning extend outside the classroom. You are not limited to 7 hours of classroom lectures at GLA. Your life becomes more interesting and fun after 5 PM. Yes, there are ample activities held after 5 by various clubs in the campus. Get yourself surrounded with amazing events to add extra spark in your hostel life.

Every person is born with talent. GLA helps to escalate the skills in you. To make student life more fun and enthusiastic, 64+ clubs are functioning within the university. Various events are organized under these clubs by our students which help to build confidence and leadership quality in them.

To provide an astonishing experience to the students GLA has signed various MOUs. The purpose of these MOUs is to enhance the quality of education imparting to the students by conducting various activities which tend to be fruitful for the students. During the pandemic, GLA did not scrimp on operations and was quick to start working with the necessary online management.
