Street Fighter 6 open beta release time, dates, characters and Capcom ID

Fighting game fans are counting down to the release of the Street Fighter 6 open beta. The Street Fighter 6 open beta has a May 19 release date on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The good news for UK fans is that the Street Fighter 6 beta kicks off nice and early, launching at 8am BST. It finishes at the same time on Monday, May 22. To ensure you don’t miss a second of the action, you can pre-load the Street Fighter 6 open beta now.

One thing worth pointing out is that while the beta is open to all players on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam), you will need a Capcom ID in order to play.

You can create a Capcom ID on the official SF6 website. Once you’re up and running, you’ll need to link the Capcom ID to your platform of choice.

In terms of content, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into. The open beta will give players access to the online Battle Hub area, where you can create a character.

You can also take part in Ranked Matches, Casual Matches, Battle Hub Matches, Open Tournaments and Training Mode.

Fans can check out the Hub Goods Shop, Extreme Battles, Game Center, Challenges, DJ Booth and Photo Spot.

Elsewhere, playable characters include a mixture of old and new, such as Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri and Ken.

Playable Stages, on the other hand, include Metro City Downtown, Genbu Temple, Carrier Byron Taylor, Tian Hong Yuan, The Macho Ring, and the Training Room.

It’s also worth noting that the Street Fighter 6 beta supports cross-platform play, as well as modern and classic controls.
