Samsung is expected to expand its smartwatch lineup with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro this year. Although the company has not yet officially revealed any details about the rumoured smartwatch, a report suggests that the company may ditch the rotating bezel in its upcoming Galaxy smartwatch. For those who are not unaware, the rotating bezel is one of the most iconic features that can be found in the Samsung Galaxy Watch models.
The design change in the next Pro Galaxy smartwatch has been suggested by known tipster Ice Universe who has previously revealed quite accurate details about unreleased Samsung products. The tipster said “Unfortunately, the galaxy watch5 Pro will disappoint you” in reply to a Twitter user Alvin, who asked about the rotating bezels. “I really hope Samsung is going to keep that iconic rotating bezel instead of replacing it with another inferior “solution”. I’m so ready to get that Galaxy Watch5 Pro and I think (and hope) it’s going to be a big upgrade.” Alvin wrote.
According to a previous report by PhoneArena, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will lead the series by being the flagship model as it will be made up of premium materials. The model is rumoured to come with a titanium body and may feature a sapphire glass display.
Other reports listed some of the key specifications expected to be seen on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The upcoming smartwatch is said to pack a hefty 572mAh battery unit which will be 60 percent bigger than its predecessor the Galaxy Watch 4. This will undoubtedly increase the battery life on the watch, however, this huge battery unit may result in a very large watch. Samsung is also reportedly developing a temperature sensor for its next watches.
