Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 receives BIS certification, expected to launch in India soon – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung is all set to launch its next-generation foldable smartphones — Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 next month at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung has scheduled the launch event for August 11 and it will also unveil its new smartwatches and true wireless earbuds at the event.
The company has not yet revealed any details about the India launch of the smartphones. However, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 3 has received BIS certification, which hints towards the India launch of the foldable smartphone.
Popular tipster Mukul Sharma of Stufflistings has revealed that the yet-to-launch Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 has received BIS certification. This means that Samsung will launch the smartphone in India soon. Presently, it is not clear when the company will launch the smartphone.
Last month, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 received BIS certification. As per speculations, there are chances that Samsung will launch both smartphones next month in the country.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 expected price
According to tipster FrontTron, Samsung is expected to price the Galaxy Z Flip 3 at $1,249 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant. If this is true, then the smartphone will be $100 cheaper as compared to the original Galaxy Z Flip which was launched at $1,349.
The foldable smartphone is expected to come in four colours — beige/white, black, olive green and purple.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 expected specifications
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and support 5G connectivity. The smartphone is said to sport a dual rear camera and a 10MP selfie shooter. The smartphone is said to run the Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and offer dust and water-resistant IP rating.
