Rick and Morty Season 7 Gets Rick-Heavy First Look, Fall Release Window

Adult Swim has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming season of Rick and Morty, emphasizing the former titular character.

Posted on the social media platforms Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter), Adult Swim shared a new teaser trailer that focuses entirely on Rick Sanchez. Based on the first trailer, the seventh season of the critically acclaimed adult animated series will focus a ton on the feud between Rick C-137 and Rick Prime.

While no release date was announced, we do have a Fall release window, and Adult Swim confirmed it will share that the premiere date for Season 7 next week.

Season 7 of Rick and Morty will also mark the first season where series co-creator Justin Roiland is not involved after he was fired by Adult Swim earlier this year. Roiland, who voiced several characters on the show including the titular characters, will not be reprising his role.

Adult Swim has kept a tight lip on who will be voicing Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith for future seasons. At San Diego Comic-Con last month, producer Steve Levy shared an update on the new voice cast, noting that they were “closing in” on replacements, confirming that the new voice cast will use soundalikes.

More interestingly, in a recent interview with The LA Times, Levy admitted that the seventh season may be “even better” following Roiland’s depature.
