First and foremost, everyone should know that The Abomination is an optional boss, so don’t feel pressured to complete this one on the first playthrough. What Is The Abomination, And Where To Find It

The Abomination is a boss in Remnant 2, an aberrated Corpse Ball that offers players a bit of a challenge. If players wish to tackle the boss fight, The Abomination is found in N’Erud.

Thankfully, like all boss fights in Remnant 2, The Abomination has weak points for players to focus damage on. These weak points include its core, where players can shoot for additional damage when exposed.

When defeated, The Abomination will drop:

• Mutated Growth
• Lumenite Crystal
• Tome of Knowledge
• Scrap

How To Defeat The Abomination

First and foremost, when facing down The Abomination, take a good look at the foe in question. Players will notice it’s mostly made of armor, which protects against firearms. Before being able to deal high damage numbers to this optional boss, players must first strip off its armor plates by shooting each one and then hitting the explosives beneath. These explosives ultimately destroy the outer shell, revealing the purple core weak point in the center.

Furthermore, keep an eye around the boss arena. Players will note additional explosives scattered about the ground, which they want to shoot at the appropriate time to deal extra damage.

When it does roll, dodge. Players do not want to get hit by the roll attack, as it does copious amounts of damage and can prove fatal relatively quickly. Thankfully, after dealing with the boss fight once or twice, the telegraph for the roll attack becomes more noticeable.

Like most other boss fights in the game, The Abomination is one of attrition. Players want to keep moving, dodge incoming attacks, and aim for the weak point as often as possible to take down The Abomination.
