Redmi K50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 120W fast charging tipped to launch later this year – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Qualcomm recently launched its new flagship Android processor — Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. Soon after the launch smartphone makers Realme, OnePlus and Asus announced that they will launch smartphones powered by the new processor. Now, another Chinese smartphone has joined this list.
According to a Weibo post, Xiaomi may launch the Redmi K50 Ultra smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. As per leakster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is reportedly working on the Redmi K50 Ultra smartphone. The smartphone is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The rumour may turn true as the company has already partnered with Qualcomm.
The leakster further added that the smartphone is said to sport a 2K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also said to support Dolby Vision. The high-end smartphone is expected to come with 120W fast charging support.
The report also adds that the Redmi K50 Ultra may launch in the second half of the year.
For those unaware, The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 features the Cortex-X2 prime core clocked at up to 3.2GHz. And the other two clusters are 3x Cortex-A710 performance cores running at a frequency of up to 2.8GHz and 4x Cortex-A510 cores with a clock speed of up to 1.8GHz. Also, this one is based on TSMC’s 4nm node process.
