Realme 6, Realme 6i and Realme X get Android 11 update in India – Times of India

Realme is busy rolling out Android 11 updates for its smartphones. Recently, the company rolled out Android 11 update for its X7-series smartphone and now it is updating the Realme 6, Realme 6i and the Realme X smartphones.
The smartphone maker has started rolling out Android 11 update for all the three smartphones in India. This is the first major software update for the Realme 6 and Realme i1. The company launched both the smartphones last year with Android 10 operating system. On the other hand, Realme X is getting its second major software update. The company launched the Realme X in 2019 with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. The smartphone received Android 10 update last year and is now getting Android 11.
With the Android 11 update all the three Realme smartphones will get features like default screen recorder, better media controller, native smart home control, one-time permission to apps, security fixes via Google Play and others.
The update will be randomly pushed out to a limited number of users today (September 4) and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. The company also advises users to charge their smartphone completely and also take data backup before installing the update.
In related news, Relame is all set to launch its new smartphones and first Android tablet in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Realme 8s, Realme 8i smartphones and the Realme Pad Android tablet in India on September 9. The company has scheduled a virtual launch event, where it will launch all the three devices.
