PUBG: Krafton Announces Record High Quarterly Revenue

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG is a title that took the world by storm when it released and managed to reinvent the battle royale scene. Six years down the line in 2023, it seems like PUBG has managed to maintain its position as the king of battle royale by bringing in major profits in 2023, as seen in Krafton’s Q1 2023 Earnings Report.

Through the report, we can see that PUBG’s PC and console revenue has managed to increase by a whopping 70% year-on-year. Moreover, Krafton has just experienced a record high quarterly revenue, bringing in 538.7 billion KRW, or $407.8 million. Furthermore, it has recorded an operating profit of 238 billion KRW, or $213.6 million, with a 53% operating profit margin.

In terms of PUBG individually, it managed to record the highest ever in-game revenue along with expansion in traffic and new monetisation content. Also, PUBG Mobile grows steadily in revenue thanks to traffic growth in new regions and innovations for live service content.

PUBG is not going to stop there by any means and is bringing more content than ever for players. A recently announced test server for PC is open now. Additionally, the game also received a new update that brings in special content, vehicles, a clan system, team-mate revival, a special guest feature and much more to the game.
