PlayStation Plus Game Catalog Expands With 23 More Games This Month

The next batch of games for the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog has been announced, and for subscribers to the Extra and Premium tiers of the service, there’s a lot to look forward to. These new games will be added on May 16, and the big highlight here is another PlayStation first-party title, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Released on PS5 in 2021, this latest chapter in the Ratchet & Clank series is a multiversal adventure that looks great and is incredibly fun to play.

The game also introduced the popular Rivet to the series, and as one of the early PS5 showcase titles, it’s a great showcase of intergalactic action, stunning visuals, and a cool arsenal of weapons. The other big release for May is Humanity, which is best described as Lemmings but with a Shiba Inu dog guide that has to work hard to prevent mobs of people from finding out how gravity works. This won’t just be a PS5 and PS4 game, but also a PlayStation VR 2 game if you own the hardware.

On the third-party side, Arkane’s Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and Dishonored II are being added to the Game Catalog. Each game is a showcase of distinctive design and out-of-the-box thinking, and are widely considered to be some of the best work from the developer alongside the original Dishonored and Deathloop. For fans of Lara Croft, the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy will also be available for download. This includes the 2013 reboot and its two sequels, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

If you’re after horror, you can grab The Evil Within 2 this month, and fans of authentic public transport can catch a ride with Bus Simulator 21: Next Stop. For a more cozy game to download, check out Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town for some wholesome farming fun.

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers will have four games to enjoy this month, including Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow, Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light, Pursuit Force, and the surprisingly great Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered. Sure, Bill Murray is phoning in his performance here, but everyone else from the original Ghostbusters movie cast sounds terrific.

As a reminder, the PlayStation Plus Collection has been officially discontinued but you can still grab this month’s trio of PlayStation Plus games for May. This includes the racing game Grid Legends, the medieval multiplayer game Chivalry 2, and downhill cycling game Descenders
