oppo: When Samsung called Oppo’s foldable phone Find N ‘amazing’ – Times of India

Samsung seems to be betting pretty big on fodable phones. And little doubt considering the succes that the company’s foldable devices, Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, have seen during the year 2021. Interestingly, hilariously the excitement about these super premium phones made the company heap praise on one of its arch rival in the segment — Oppo Find N.
Replying to a tweet about how foldables smartphones break the stereotype of all modern devices being “all the same” or “boring,” Samsung (company’s SamsungMobileUS handle) called the foldable device “pretty ah-mazing.” Just that the device that at first glance looked like Galaxy Z Fold 3 was actually the Oppo Find N — the main competitor of Samsung’s foldable flagship. The fact that tweet in question came from Ryan Fenwick, a member of the global communications team for Oppo and OnePlus, made the things more odd.

Replying to the praise Oppo Malaysia said thanks, tagging the SamsungMobileUS handle, “Ah-thank you! ????”

For those unware, Oppo Find N is a “book” style foldable phone, similar to Samsung’s flagship. Going by the specs, -it is largely a similar device. The Oppo Find sports a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.1-inch inner display. It runs on Snapdragon 888 processor and packs up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 50MP primary camera that is backed up by 16MP ultrawide, 13MP telephoto, and a pair of 32MP selfie cameras. Oppo Find N is powered by Android 11, offers 4,500 mAh battery, wireless charging and 33W wired charging
Oppo launched Oppo Find N at its Innovations Day conference in November 2021. The smartphone, however, is available only in China.
