Netflix Posts a New Promo Acknowledging the Similarities Between the World of Black Mirror and Apple Vision Pro

Black Mirror is coming back this month with Season 6 bringing 5 new stories set in its futuristic, dystopian universe. In the meantime, Netflix has shared new posters and teasers to keep the hype up. As we wait for the season to drop on June 15, 2023, Netflix has called out to tech giant Apple to bring us closer to the horrors depicted in the show. Apple Vision Pro is going full Black Mirror, Netflix acknowledges with new post

Apple revealed the Vision Pro at WWDC 2023 at WWDC 2023 on June 5, where CEO Tim Cook introduced it as a “revolutionary product”. The Vision Pro is essentially an augmented reality based headset, focusing on bringing “spatial computing” to the consumers. Ever since the launch, netizens have been debating on the scopes and bounds of this new product. But one cannot help but agree that this is the kind of stuff we’ve only seen in movies till now, and the comparisons with Black Mirror have been countless. And now that’s something that even Netflix acknowledges.

Netflix released a couple of cryptic posters for the five episodes of Black Mirror on Twitter on June 5, 2023. The last of the series of posters however, was an image straight out the trailer of the Apple Vision Pro, demonstrating the UI of the device. Only the original icons have been replaced by images from the upcoming episodes of Black Mirror. You cannot miss the top three icons either. The first is the unforgettable symbol from Bandersnatch, followed by the broken glass smiley image and the loading icon from the series.

Netflix recently announced the release date of Black Mirror Season 6 as June 15. It is going to be a 5 episode show featuring stars like Annie Murphy, Salma Hayek, Michael Cera, Daniel Portman, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, and Zazie Beetz amongst others.
