Bhaukaal is ready with its season 2, which is scheduled to be launced on Januay 20. Based on true events from the life of Indian braveheart IPS officer Navniet Sekera, the second season, as the makers say, is filled with some power-packed action sequences and nail-biting suspense.
The audience will witness Mohit Raina in a captivating performance as he once again gets into the shoes of the heroic SSP Naveen Sikhera.
Known for getting into the skin of the characters he portrays on-screen, Mohit shares how he prepared for the role. The actor says, “After being offered the role, I wanted to understand the thought process of the IPS officer on whose life the show is based. So, I spent time with Navniet Sekera, tried to understand the man behind the cop and ensured that I grasped as much as possible so that I could do justice to the role of SSP Naveen Sikhera.”

Knowing details such as the family dynamics, growing up in UP was also essential for Mohit, who adds, “It was important for me to know how a farmer’s son became an IPS officer and cleared crime in UP in such a fearless manner. Performing the action sequences with so much vigour, the dialogues and above all, the right portrayal of emotions of serving the nation first is what kept me going through the entire project.”
Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Baweja Studios Production, MX Original Series Bhaukaal 2 is written by Akash Mohimen, Jay Sheela Bansal and Jatin Wagle.
It also stars Bidita Bag, Siddhanth Kapoor, Pradeep Nagar, Gulki Joshi, Ajay Chaudhary, Rashmi Rajput and Late Major Bikramjeet Kanwarpal in pivotal roles and will release on January 20 on MX Player.
