Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part 1 is all set to hit the theatres on July 12, 2023 and it seems like the movie is going to be one of the biggest releases of the year. Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part 1 reviews have just started surfacing online and the movie has managed to score some high numbers, with Rotten Tomatoes being one of the highest. Mission Impossible 7 has scored a whopping 98% on the Tomatometer and that has managed to break some records.
Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1 is Tom Cruise’s highest rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes
As spotted by Screenrant, Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1 is now the highest rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes for Tom Cruise, beating the likes of Top Gun: Maverick. Top Gun: Maverick held the position with a solid score of 96% on the Tomatometer, but Mission Impossible 7’s 98% managed to surpass it. However, this score might change closer to the release of the movie as all publishers haven’t released their reviews yet, but from the ones we’ve seen till now, it seems like going for MI 7 is a no brainer.
Furthermore, this is not the only record that the movie has managed to break. The Mission Impossible franchise also has their own internal record going, where every new movie manages beat the Rotten Tomatoes score for the previous one. The first time we saw this trend was when Mission Impossible 3 beat Mission Impossible 2 with a 71% score compared to the latter’s 56%, since then every single movie released has managed to maintain this record. It is even more surprising that Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part 1 was able to maintain this record as the previous release, Mission Impossible: Fallout has a staggering 97% on the Tomatometer.
