Microsoft to roll out this useful feature for Edge browser soon – Times of India

Microsoft is planning to add text predictions feature in the Edge browser. The tech giant has said that it will use its in-house artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technology to suggest words to users while they are typing. The company is rolling out the feature to limited Windows 10 and Windows 11 users who are part of the Canary Channel of the browser. For those who don’t know, the text prediction feature helps you write faster and with fewer mistakes by taking what you’ve already typed and predicting what you might want to say next. The feature displays prediction as a grayed-out suggestion wherever you’re writing online.
To accept the displayed prediction, you can press “Tab” or “Right arrow”, and it will be automatically inserted into your writing. Currently, text prediction is only available to Insiders using Windows but the company has announced it will expand the support for the feature in upcoming releases. The company is also reportedly working to add a new ‘Games’ panel on the browser. According to a report by Neowin, known tipster Leopeva64 has spotted the new panel in the latest version of the Edge Canary. The report further mentions that the feature is currently available only for a few users and it is disable by default. The feature needs to be toggled on by going in the Settings > Appearance > Games button.
As per the report, after enabling the feature, users will be able to see a Games button on the omnibar. Clicking in the new button will open a panel on the right side of the browser window. The panel includes various categories of HTML5 games such as Arcade, Board & Card, Puzzle, Sports, Casual, and more. For those who do not know, HTML 5 games can be played right in the browser without downloading any app or file but these games do need an active internet connection.
