Microsoft has offered a 10-year deal to keep the Call of Duty games on Sony’s PlayStation consoles, according to a report by the New York Times.
Sony refused to comment on the offer.
“The first call Satya and I made after the deal was announced was to the C.E.O. of Sony to say, ‘Hey, we’re going to keep Call of Duty on your platform,’” Xbox head Phil Spencer said.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella also recently said that the company wants to see more competition between game publishers. Spencer also said that Call of Duty titles are going to stay on PlayStation consoles.
In a recent interview with The Verge, Spencer said that it’s not like they’re planning to pull the rug from under Sony’s feet, but there is no contract both companies can write that can be enforced forever.
Xbox 360 controller is coming back
The Xbox 360 controller is coming back on the console’s 17th anniversary. American video game peripheral manufacturer and distributor Hyperkin has announced the Hyperkin Xenon, a wired gaming controller that looks exactly like the Xbox 360 controller.
The controller will work with the Xbox Series X/S and PC. The Hyperkin Xenon is a modern version of the original Xbox 360 controller. As you can see in the images below, the controller features Menu, View, and Share buttons which are, of course, part of modern controllers.
The Hyperkin Xenon will release in black, white, pink, and red colours. There are no details about the release date and price as of now.
